GAP-SENSOR is generally called "an eddy currentdisplacement
sensor". A high-frequency current issupplied to the coil inside
the sensor head to generate ahigh-frequency electromagnetic field.
When the target (a conductive or magnetic substance)approaches this
electromagnetic field, an eddy currentis generated on the surface
of the target and the sensorcoil impedance is changed. The sensor
system detectsthe change in oscillation strength resulting from thisphenomenon
to identify the relationship betweendisplacement and voltage. |
